Coronavirus – How It Started – How it Spreads – Types - Prevention


Coronavirus officially called Covid-19 ( Co – Corona Vi – Virus d – Disease 19 – Started in 2019) are a family of viruses, is a serious illness which starts with commom cold include fever, dry cough, tiredness  then effects lungs, kidney failure severe caugh and Pneumonia in Humans, is the viruses that cause disease in all types of animals which transfers to humans who are in contact.

In the month of December on Dec. 10, Wei Guixian, a seafood merchant in  Wuhan market, first started to feel like she was getting a cold, she went to a small local clinic and got some treatment. At the end of December, China alerted WHO about several cases of unusual pneumonia spread by unknown virus in Wuhan.

On Jan 7, officials announced that they had identified a new virus, according to the WHO. The novel virus was named as 2019-nCoV.

Wuhan’s market is a place where both dead and live animals, birds were sold. The animal from which the virus started transferring was not identified but believes that it would have transferred from bats as genetic sequence of the new virus is 96 percent identical to the other types of Coronavirus like “Mers in 2012” and “Sars in 2002” started from bats.

The first type of Coronavius “Sars (severe acute respiratory syndrome)”, first reported in China in 2002, which spreaded to 27 countries, which infected around 8,000 people and killing 700.

The second type of Coronavirus “Mers (Middle East respiratory syndrome)”, first emerged in Jordan in 2012 and about 2,500 cases have been identified so far. It is more deadly than Sars.

The new third type of Coronavirus “Covid – 19” is more aggressive than the other two types as it is becoming difficult for the scientists to develop a vaccine as the virus mutating into a second strain.

How Coronavirus Spreads:

Like cold and flu, the virus is spread through droplets when a person coughs or sneezes. The droplets land on surfaces and are picked up on the hands of others and spread further. People catch the virus when they touch their infected hands to their mouth, nose or eyes.

This disease can only be spread to a person who is spending more than 15 minutes within two metres of an infected person. Coronavirus doesn’t appear to spread through the air.

Older adults or anyone who might be more at risk of having a severe case of COVID-19.

How to Prevent Coronavirus:


* Wash your hands frequently.
* Maintain social distancing.
* Avoid touching eyes, nose and mouth.
* Practice respiratory hygiene.
* Stay home.
* Drink plenty of liquids.
* Use a room humidifier or take a hot shower to help ease a sore throat  and cough.
* Keep warm. 

The Heavenly Stairs - Road To Heaven (Every step is Risky!!!) - Huashan Mountain


The teahouse at the top of Huashan Mountain which has an altitude of 2,160 meters has stairs which never ends like stairs towards the clouds.

Mount Huashan, one of the UNESCO World heritages Site is 120 kilometers away from city Xi’an in China, is a perfect place for the people who like life risking adventures in their life.


As you proceed upwards to the top of the mountain, the stairs goes on skrinng as you can find stairs is made of thin planks (0.3 meter wide)  that are fixed in the mountain and chains are nailed in stone for you to hold whiling walking. One wrong step( Direct Heaven!!!😉😆😆)

How about a tea after your life taking adventures 12 km walking. Yes, at the top of the mountain, there is a tea house which is one of the Taoist temples where daily meditation is practiced along with a cup of tea.

This mountain is called Huashan, where Hua means “flower” and shan means “mountain”
(Huashan – flower mountain) because it contain 5 peaks namely Facing Sun Peak - East, Lotus Flower Peak - West,  Jade Maiden Peak - Center, Cloud Terrace Peak – North and Huashan looks like like the petals of a lotus.
